Some of our most astute signings were under Dougie. Jedi Ward Damo. A better eye for a player than Pardew imo. Let's hope he plays a part repeating that. Your forgiven Dougie welcome home. No more texting though especially to Mr Tann

To be fair, he did bring in some quality additions (at the time) for pretty much nothing. If he can do the same but at a higher level...

Judging by FDB's quote in the article, you'd have to assume that he played a part in the decision making here which can only be a good thing. You could argue that Dougie is lucky to be offered the position but on the other side of the coin he was fantastic for us. Just goes to show that much of what we read in the media is pure speculation because they had no wind of this beforehand. A shrewd appointment.
