I think that's a voice that has its place.

I've no issue with someone breaking through due to meritocracy....if someone screen tests the best I'd overlook the ethnicity stuff.....though I agree with you that Bond is meant to be white, just as Shaft is meant to be black.

I generally agree, just pointing out that it's nothing new or that hasn't been done.

I couldn't care less about the nationality of the actors so long as they can portray the character well and pull off the accent.

Personally I don't think Idris Elba would actually make a good Bond anyway. And if they do it just because he's black rather than them thinking he is the best choice, that'll be the end of it before they know it.

OHMS is quite good but I never liked Telly Savalas in it. The role didn't suit him and I got the feeling that he was only cast because he was bald.

Did you see him playing with the gun and weaving in and out of the corridor in ‘Layer Cake?’ Looked convincing there and other moments in that film.
