Underrated... for me Ocean Colour Scene and The Cranberries... Overrated.... Coldplay and Artic Monkeys

I didn’t actually know only until a few years ago that the lead singer Simon Fowler was gay... He tells a very funny story about one of the Spice Girls trying to shag him in the 90s!!

I thought they'd been plugging away with no success in the early 90's and it was touring with Oasis and the rise of Britpop that made them.

Yeah, I think there’s a difference between ‘overrated’ and ‘popular’. Coldplay are massive but in the same way pop stars are. No one who’s into bands rates them.

Underrated by your definition means bands that are unsuccessful, presumably because no-one likes them and I've never heard of any of the three bands that you mentioned so presume that they have found their natural level

It's hard to be objective as all the bands I don't like I also think are overrated and there are whole genres of music I don't get but others think are fantastic. Overrated
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |
