Mine are older and still asleep but who had a
'Good old days' 2 3 4 o'clock "has he been yet"
Night.
I do look back and laugh as I did it myself as a kid.

It's very quiet(and late) without the kid's stockings at 6 in the morning.
My daughter will be over in a few hours with my grandson and my son is still in bed so it's just me and the missus having a quiet coffee before the fun starts.

Might even fit in a very quick jog to blow off the overindulgence cobwebs before even more overindulgence.

I feel your pain! Three gym visits a week = aching shoulders, sore back, creaking knees, etc just to equalise my intake of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. Ah, well. It’s worth it.

Certainly NO Christmas cheer for 'Yours Truly'.
I readily admit to being a Bah Humbug, a grinch and Scrooge.
I do not eat turkey, cannot abide Christmas carols and music and you won't find me with a hat, wearing any Christmas attire or pulling any crackers.Definitely no christmas tree or decorations in our abode.My dear wife is with our daughter, her husband, our newly born granddaughter and the in-laws many miles away and I am enjoying a restful day at home.This has been the actualite year-on-year.

However I do appreciate that many DO enjoy Christmas and it is a special time for them and their families, hence my wishes on HOL.
