It is usually Root as the pillar and the others chip in, so actually quite good they have got to 258 after he went cheaply.

NZ have a surplus of very good bowlers, I have a sneaky feeling about their batting line-up in this one, going for an England win as NZ bat last.

Definitely a result anyway.

If it's sunny today, England could be in for a long day. They need it to be overcast like yesterday.

Since he got hit, his batting is unrecognisable.

Assuming that you are referring to Chris's son Stuart, he used to be a capable batsman but he's never been the same since being hit on the head. He even scored a Test century against pakistan although any score against pakistan in those days must be suspect with all the match fixing going on

What would England's best line up be (injuries aside), this is the team I'd like to see...

Burns
Hameed but more likely Sibley
Mallan
Root
Stokes
Buttler
Foakes
Leach
Archer
Broad
Anderson

Mea Culpa!
I meant Stuart Broad.
I agree that his batting has gone downhill after he was struck on the head.

Robinson was the only bowler to get him out last test.

Broad has just got him, class act though.

The best batsmen always seem to have the time to play a stroke.

This is England's moment, whoever wins the last session has their nose in front.

Not so sure... This is not a 300 all out pitch. I expect NZ to post 400 plus..
