Tell me Billy Gibbons did not die?! One of the finest hard-rockin blues players ever! Anyway the answer to the greatest guitar solo: it's from the Isaac Hayes version of the Look of Love and proceeds for over 3 minutes with so many ideas within. I think the player is Michael Toles, formerly of the Bar-Kays.

Too many! Good call, gets forgotten, John Peel loved that track

But try this one-Quintessence/Sea of Immortality, guitarist Alan Mostert, one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard, way back into the end of the sixties, beginning of the seventies. Not bad, takes a while to get going, rest of the track is very Jethro Tull.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
