Todays second download is a set by Burton Cummings that was recorded in New York City at the Bottom Line Club in June 1977. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set. This is the first bootleg or album by this artist that I've posted. I saw a request on the thread for something by BC and had a look for something in decent quality. It turns out that quality boots by this artist are quite rare - but this is a good one and I hope it's ok for the member who requested it... BC played two sets at this venue - an early and late show - this is the late show..... Todays first download is a set by Oasis that was recorded at the Wembley Arena in October 2008. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set. The audio has been taken from an MTV broadcast of the show. Some classic Oasis tracks on this one - which is thoroughly recommended for any fans of the band.... Todays second download is a set by Jefferson Airplane that was recorded at the Winterland Ballroom in San Fran 1970. This is in superb quality for a 40 year old bootleg - top notch sound. Some great stuff on this one with singer Grace Slick in top form as she belts out classics like "Have You Seen The Saucers" and "Somebody To Love". If you like Jefferson you will want this one... thoroughly recommended.. Todays extra download is a set by Ray Davies of The Kinks that was recorded in Oslo, Norway in 2009. This is a great sounding boot - even though it's an audience recording. As many of you know, I rarely touch audience recordings as the quality is usually rubbish. This is an exception to the rule - this sounds great, almost as if you are there.... it's a top audience recorded bootleg. Ray plays hit after hit from his days with The Kinks - ending with a cracking version of Lola.... Todays first download is a set by The Verve that was recorded at the Pinkpop Festival in Holland '98. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast. I've posted a few boots by The Verve over the years - this is another top sounding show. There are a couple of bonus tracks added to this boot - which includes an acoustic demo of "The Drugs Don't Work".... this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set of demo's by Ray Davies that were recorded in San Diego, CA in 1988. The demos are from RD's album "80 Days" which is his musical version of Jules Verne's story "Around The World In 80 Days". It was six years in the making and the show was first performed live on August 23, 1988 at the Mandell Weiss Theatre, San Diego. RD is credited with writing the music and lyrics. This is in superb quality and is a great show... The notes inside the file explain the story in more detail. This is one for all fans of Ray Davies.... thoroughly recommended....
