Why haven't we made another bid though?
I don't understand what,we waiting for. We currently have one fit striker going into the first game of the season. Whether it's pardew or the board, someone must take blame for this predicament.Every press conference, AP sends Km to do the interviews.Normally Parish would make a comment during the summer(like we hopeful of bringING 3 more).The lack of imformation is frustrating.

I prefer it when Parish doesnt talk about transfer to be honest. Especially to the media (I dont mind when he talks on Hol Radio) But A few times Parish has mentioned players and deals and then nothing has happened, and lots of palace fans get on his back. Best to stay out of the way and say nothing until the deal is completed.

They dont have to sell, so they can hold out for what they feel is the right value for the player, that coupled with the face everyone needs a decent striker and the stupid amounts of cash sloshing about now.

But that will cost them £6/7 M pa.
If they don't need him better to ditch him now.

The sticking point does seem to be Liverpool's asking price, with no sign at all of LP budging on that.

Add that to our having "backed out of negotiations" and it's very definitely time to move on as we're never going to sign a player we're not bidding for.

Time to prepare for an underwhelming signing towards the end of the window and a hastily arranged, but ultimately useless, loan signing on the evening of 31st August.

Looks increasingly likely there will be a frenzy of activity as soon as someone blinks. It makes good sense to get in the players you want and need while they're still available rather than take what's left on the shelf.

I'd still be happier with Slimani and Bony for <30m. Both up for sale, both prices that seem fair. OK total wages may be more for both but would give us more options and probably more goals.
