£10m is fantastic news and quite an unexpected windfall for the transfer budget.

Yes so Sorloth is out. Never know how the finances work...is it +10m over 3 years of payments for example? Good to have the cash one way or an another. Benteke just played for the U23 team so how injured is he really? He also managed to miss two sitters with his head. I thought he was injured so it’s interesting to see if we are definitely trying to move him on because I’ve seen reports that he’s transfer listed.

Guys stop with this pathetic and boring arguement please. No 'side' will ever win as no one will ever have all the facts. It's so annoying to come on here looking for any transfer news just to be have to scroll through all this non stop waffle. Right back to signings. Sorloth out has been confirmed which will have been an unexpected 10m+ boost to whatever transfer kitty we were initially planning with. I wonder if this will speed along any new arrivals. Agree with the first bit. And hope for the second.

Benteke would miss the goal even he were the only player on the pitch!

Can’t be arsed with this rubbish any more. It’s pathetic and tedious in equal measure.

With fans now unlikely to be allowed back, possibly this season, following yesterday’s announcements is it likely that Palace (and other clubs) hold back some of their transfer kitty to ensure they remain liquid enough to survive the next 12 months? I can see many lower/non league clubs folding..

I can see many lower/non league clubs folding.. I suppose that would depend on if or how much the TV companies are still expected to pay under their contracts with the Prem. If we're still being paid the same rate or pro-rata, then the higher we finish the more we get, and therefore the worth the outlay on good transfers could be for the future.

Only the prem will survive now due to sky money. Outside the prem there main source of income is the gate. To survive they will need to slash wages big time. Players will be on hundreds of pounds a week. This will impact prem wages too. I don’t believe any new contracts will be over £10k a week. We will be picking up non premier players even cheaper now

Normally as the deadline looms the prices go up it may happen in reverse now that is is likely that we wont see crowds until next year and possible next season.
