Personally, of the managers currently being linked I'd be interested in: Slavisa Jokanovic
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

For me the best bet is Garry Monk. He was very good at Swansea, kept them safe with little fuss, and they fell away without him. He has premier league experience, is fairly proven at that level whilst still young and hungry to prove himself. Unlike many on the list he probably wouldn't see us as a step down or a short term stepping stone to something else, and seems the type to build a team over time. He's English, and a recent ex player so can relate to the players. If he can walk into Leeds and turn that madhouse into a decent side he's got something pretty special about him, and I believe he's only on a one year rolling deal so little or no compensation due. If all the above didn't convince you then consider the moral of the Johnny Cash song 'a boy named Sue'. This is where a man hunts down his absent father in order to punish him for giving him a name which has led to a lifetime of taunting and bullying. Finally, he finds the old man in a bar and gives him a beating. His dad explains that he named him Sue because he knew that the boy would be teased, and that he'd have to learn to stand up for himself as a result, a vital thing in life. The boy understands. If you've spent your whole life with a name which sounds like rhyming slang for spunk, you're going to have developed a certain inner steel not found in many men. That alone is a strong selling point.

Slavisa Jokanovic Possibly Mancini but of sure how good he really is. I'm sure there are plenty of young managers in the lower leagues good enough but not getting a chance

Eusebio Di Francesco from Sassuolo. He got them promoted into Serie A, kept them up, stabilized them and then got them into Europa. As a player he sounds like we was a cross between Townsend and McArthur. Unlikely considering Parish's appointments to date.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'If we appoint....' by Guntrisoft Roy Hodgson, I'm done with Palace until he's gone. The guy is an absolute joke and what he did with England was laughable. I pray he doesn't get it. I would rather Pards back!!!

Well your not a true fan then. What Pardew did was destroy the club in terms of togetherness. I wouldn't want either but if we took a gamble and it didn't go to plan and November, we hovering above the bottom 3. I certainly take Roy to save us.

The names being talked about are quite disturbing; Hodgson, Pearson, McLaren, Coleman etc. Ranieri might be ok but his title winning squad was Pearson's not his and when he did make it more his own squad this season things didn't exactly go well. I doubt we'll get Silva so why don't we try and tempt Puel away from Southampton! They're clearly not valuing him so there's no reason he should stay if a decent offer comes along.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'If we appoint....' by Guntrisoft I was impressed with the team he got going in the qualifying stage of euros. In the finals he second guessed himself and wrecked his good work. He stopped playing Vardy and Welbeck was injured. Sturridge, Rooney and Wilshere should have been nowhere near that squad.

Got Fulham to a Europa League, screwed up Liverpool and got West Brom to two mid table finishes = still a big no. Unless some fans on here like a dose of reverse schadenfreude.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'If we appoint....' by Guntrisoft You get the impression that some people on here hope we appoint a s*** manager just so they've got something to be angry about.
