I was impressed with the team he got going in the qualifying stage of euros. In the finals he second guessed himself and wrecked his good work. He stopped playing Vardy and Welbeck was injured. Sturridge, Rooney and Wilshere should have been nowhere near that squad.

Exactly. Picked players who'd been injured all season and had hardly played in months, then wondered why they were s***e. All sorts of others were available. Beyond incompetent.

Employing Hodgson would show a massive lack of ambition by the board in my opinion, I'd still back him and the team but he isn't the answer either short or long term.

We need stability and a manager that'll be here for 3/4/5 + years, not one that is nearly 70 and will be looking to potentially retire in the next couple of years.

Stability in Managers is a thing of the past.
No long serving managers any more other than Arsene.
Who ever gets the job needs to win football matches.
Lose 3 and the Hol will want the incumbent out.

Any Of these I'd be happy with
Mancini
Slavisa Jokanovic
David Wagner
Jaap Stam
Marco Silva
Hiddink
An upcoming manager from europe (a few have been mentioned on these pages)!

any of these id be pissed Off with!
Ranieri
Moyes
Pardew
Karanka
Bruce
McClaren

undecided about Hodgson, which probably puts him in the OK list.

Roberto Mancini is the only option. Can organise defences has pedigree speaks english understands premier and has been linked before. Does board have the vision to appoint!

The names being talked about are quite disturbing; Hodgson, Pearson, McLaren, Coleman etc.

Ranieri might be ok but his title winning squad was Pearson's not his and when he did make it more his own squad this season things didn't exactly go well.

I doubt we'll get Silva so why don't we try and tempt Puel away from Southampton! They're clearly not valuing him so there's no reason he should stay if a decent offer comes along.

I fully agree, Silva has according to press report already agreed to return to Portugal with Porto, so he is out of it anyway, the others mentioned above will not keep us in PL. The new Manager has to be the type who can cope with the controlling management style of SP, which unless that changes will always be a hinderance to the development of the football side of this club!

Having given the matter some thought, I'd be happy with any of Silva, Dyche or Puel.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

If either of these are appointed they can have my season ticket back.

Depends if Parish's key criteria is "Managed at top level of a country's league".

Don't believe that Wagner and Stam fit into this category.

There a lot of good managers in the EFL but maybe lack of experience at top-level will count against them.Wouldn't be surprised if we went down the Foreign route.
