In a sense but it would seem that it's relevant so was worth pointing out. It adds more completeness than it removes. I see your point in that at an extreme of being objective, it could be said that it'd be hard to really strive for anything on a national level, politically. That approach at extremes could even be vaguely spiritual. Then again, circumspect types often wield a decent amount of power and influence because inevitably nations find themselves very split down the middle. Even in ultra polarised countries like the US you get the popular Joe Rogan types, people who refuse to fully opt in to an us vs them outlook and are rightly attributed a level of authenticity due to that. Values based primarily on a human level hold true in unstable political moments where many are more inclined to lose touch with core values in order to push for preferred political outcome. The more politically polarised and amendment people are, the more willing they are to treat good people that are not aligned with them badly. The same applies to religion really. Yep, an intelligent and insightful post. I also agree on Rogan. I can see why Joe Rogan has become so popular in his job. He manages the role of sitting in multiple camps very well in different podcasts and you can see his core politics as being quite mixed up. There is this core of masculine libertarian left mixed in with a kind of independent republicanism. He has that ability to be almost politically and socially promiscuous. I don't offer that up as a criticism because I think societies needs figures like that to provide at least some balance to the more polarised extremes. He can talk to very different people and shares aspects with most of them, which for his job means he doesn't become the sole property of one side of a social or political perspective.

Was a link to the firefighters announcing they will endorse Biden for POTUS, you can google that one though. Bad news for Trump as military, fireman and cops are his bread and butter types. Its a hammer blow for trump and he knows it, hence his attacks on Biden already. You are dead wrong on Mueller and his report, as you often are, Stirlingsays. You seem to be like Trump in that regard, trying to smear Mueller and his report. Trying to insinuate Mueller is out to get Trump. Total and complete hogwash and I think you know it. Like Trump, you seem unable to accept that: A - The investigation was 100% called for Mueller did his job. No more, no less. He did his job, quietly, fastidiously, carefully and meticulously. Something apparently Trump and his fans cannot get their heads around. He held his tongue while the President of the United States personally attacked him for months on end and dragged his name through the mud. Imagine how that feels as a decorated and venerated war hero and career DOJ servant? As he dragged comrades off the battlefield in Vietnam, winning the purple heart, bronze star and others, he probably never expected that one day the president would insult and snear at him. While cowardly rich parasites like Trump dodged the draft with fake medical records paid for handsomely, Mueller was bravely serving his country and becoming a revered leader of men. What he did was do his job and investige the rape of the American voting system by Russia which to this day, the liar in chief refuses to admit helped him get elected. It doesnt take a genius to realize Trump wants that illegal help again in 2020.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

The US economy is doing very well, this is true. Record unemployment, 401ks are back performing again. All this, and Trump's approval rating is piss poor. What does that tell you?

Perhaps you just watch too much CNN or whatever anti Trump news you gulp in. You feel I'm demonising Mueller when in reality I'm accusing him of nothing more than what people in his job do pretty much every day and have done for many decades. Indeed Trump himself is probably guilty of much worse than Mueller as a private citizen because most high rise people in business are rats in suits. I'm just not as emotionally invested in this people as you appear to be. You want to think that there's a kind of angels and monsters, black and white reality to these people. Whereas I tend to think that they are all smeared with dirt....and that it's just a matter of whose coat is better suited for your perspective.

Was funny to see infighting within Fox yesterday as Chris Wallace reported facts, as a journalist should, and actually called out the Fox opinion propaganda merchants. The world is not black and white but this situation is. Anyone going after Mueller is making a mug of themselves, just like Trump. Mueller is a war hero who was a massively respected prosecutor and head of the FBI. Trump is a lying, cowardly bully. Mueller is not a politician, so I am not sure if you can throw him in the "they are all crooks" bucket. He is a military/DOJ guy, and has more in common with John McCain than Dump.

Among many things Trump has had to put up with, the FBI spied on him, conspired against him, attempted a coup, lied to obtain a FISA warrant, continued the lie for two years, leaked deceiving confidential info to the press.

I must admit....I'm thinking more about a couple of rounds of melted cheddar cheese on toast. Edited by Stirlingsays (03 May 2019 6.16pm)
