If we stay up I think we could get him actually. However, Liverpool may bring him in from the cold once Klopp finally realises that their defence is a little poor.

Koop dropped Lucas for today's game. He knows he's got a big problem at CB.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Quite, like the decision not to include McArthur in the starting 11.

For what reason? Do you think we would have lost if he had?

11 games to go. We're in a significantly better place having won two on the trot but we're still 17th and, as others have said, we still have the top six to play. I think we're much better equipped now, though, to hope for something positive out of some of them where, previously, we'd have written off the points before kicking a ball.

All to play for, and very much in our hands.

What's this bollocks about "this game is winnable, that one isn't"? The soi-disant big teams have all f***ed up against teams one would think they ought to have beaten, not least the bin dippers. Man U couldn't beat Bournemouth at home today despite considerable help from the ref.

And if there are six "top teams" left to play that leaves five we should be able to do if we play like we did today.

I expect in the Summer he'll bring in someone else. He and Sakho evidently don't get on and that being the case it would be hard no matter how skillful the player.

Don't think anyone said one game was winnable and the other wasn't but I think just using logic generally a better team is harder to play against (other than Liverpool)

We're the Arthur over ere!

Under Pardew, most people seemed to have given up hope of getting anything out of anything. I've just pointed out that we have some particularly tough games ahead and we now have reason to be more optimistic about them than we did, say, two months ago.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

With the run in we have, the team can't take their foot off the pedal.

I think the break now before the Watford game will be helpful, as we'll have to make the most of that game and carry a sense of belief into the matches against the top teams.

There's plenty of threads about hennessey, do we have to turn this thread into another one!

Happy with almost everybody today I think Joel Ward is a weak link at the back , hennesey did allright today, but he was not put on a lot of pressure.
I`d like him to be sucsessfull so he got to step it up.
Next up is Tottenham, and let us stay solid in that game too and then see if we can nick another win.
Hope Benteke can get a goal or 3 soon.

Oh no its not.....

Excellent performance. All the new players doing well, especially Sakho. We have to beat Watford and go on from there.
And two great goals today. I'm as happy as I have been all season.
