Are you comparing Peter Cech to Hennessey? Cech makes some individual errors now and then, as do all keepers.

However he has had a long and illustrious career as one of the world's premier shot stoppers.

Comparing Cech to Hennessey is like lining up Wilbraham and Ibrahimovic: maybe they are the same height?

Whoever is in goal for the Palace I will support.
Wayne has seen off three goalkeepers in his time with us.
Our number 1.
Yes of course,if we can sign someone better within our budget great.
Gradual improvement year on year for our team.

Palace 13th 2017/18.

We could have, but didnt, because we dont know how to run transfers at the club.

Didnt Homer Simpson once say, you can prove anything with facts?

Wayne "saw off":

Mccarthy who was terrible.
Mandanda who fell out with Allardyce after getting injured, and was frozen out.
Speroni who is too old now and was not fancied by our last 2 managers.

Would you support my gran if she was our keeper? She is pretty much blind and deaf, doesnt have much agility, and doesn't command the box well. So she has one thing in common with Hennessey.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

What I find difficult to take on board is the fact Palace have a squad who have had a run only equalled by the top four and people are saying, consistently, the keepers are inadequate. Also they mention just two of the centre backs while, again , both Dann and Kelly have proved collosuss. Why do so many Palace have an inferiority complex when it comes to our club and the players?
When we look at the club's who have held steady in the EPL for a few years, its not their eye-catchers who are the star performers, week-in, week-out but the foot soldiers. Palace have them in spades, good, hard and honest. Only injury will prove the joker.

My thoughts keep comming back to Roy’s evaluation of the squad being that he is very happy with his first choice eleven but feels that our backup needs strengthening.
Well on the basis that Roy would have had input into the three signings he will now be a happier man than he was before the window as he has three extra players who he thinks will strengthen the squad.
So there we have it a strengthened squad and 14 games to go which should be enough to get the extra 12 or so points we need.
Be positive boys and girls !

Basically I agree; but wonder what his thoughts are regarding the GK situation? Lets hope we do not pay for not having got one in.

Is there really use and need for spouting more nastiness about WH. Might it suffice to say we will never agree on this board on the topic. Shouting it more often or louder is not going to bring a point across as I think we all know who stands where.

Well for a club that does not know how to do transfers we currently sit unlucky for some 13th.
The highest we will get in the foreseeable future is 7th.
So in my book we are doing ok.
And yes I would support your Gran, hopefully she doesn’t moan as much as her Grandson.

Another window where we have managed to keep our top players, shows that this isn't as disatrous as it could have been.

That being said, a window where we haven't picked up a keeper and a couple of strikers, for me shows that the board have looked at our lofty league position and not deemed our need to spend as urgent.

I say that, of course, without understanding our FFP situation.

There is no point dwelling on the situation now though, nothing can be done. Let's just hope our boys stay injury free and Roy can continue working wonders on this squad.

Lille did not screw us at all.

The player, Amadou, is valued at 18 millions.

So that's what they wanted.

What would SP's reaction be to a similar loan deal for a Palace star, he would laugh it off, rightly.

But you can't have it both ways SP.

But it wasn't that we low-balled them but because Lille were under a transfer embargo and realised belatedly that they were unable to recall a loan player to cover Amadou. That was stupid by Lille but less stupid (from their perspective) if they had sold him without replacing him.

So Lille 'didn't screw us' but we didn't attempt to screw them either.

No?

What if Zaha is out for 8 weeks? Then what. Playing CB up top with who alongside, and who on the wings? Two targetmen, one of whom has only played in a far inferior league, and looked good briefly. Then on the wings who, Townsend and, err, Lokilo?

That window was a disgrace, given the time and alleged work that has been so triumphantly claimed by parish to have gone into it. The man is incompetent, it's been shown time and time again. Should walk in the summer.
