Wasn't it Spike Milligan who when he ran out of ideas for a sketch just walked around saying "whadda do now?" I hope our players haven't been watching that.

One more point

With our rumoured interest in Lookman I still feel as though Wilf might be off. We're spending a fair chunk of money, with another defender and CM still needed, and it has to come from somewhere really.

Lookman / Eze / Schlupp / Zaha / Olise / Ayew is a great array of attacking midfielders to support Benteke and I wouldn't be surprised if we kept Wilf until January and then sold him when Eze was fit again.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Hasn't Wilf gone yet? I'm getting bored of this and want to have money to spend on players who actually want to be at Selhurst...

I guess if large amounts of wages have been cleared up by releasing players, this could be the start of a new financial cycle? Basically borrowing on furue earnings.
Also, the players signed so far, plus some we are linked to - could be looked at investments, for future resale value, hopefully profitable.
We would be particularly well placed if any of our academy players reach AWB, Mitchell or Wilf standards. Mitchell probably worth quite a bit. I hesitate to guess how much - perhaps more than 25 mil? Although, I'm glad he's staying. But if you think about it, his sale alone would pay for the academy.
So I guess I'm saying we perhaps didn't need major funds coming in. We'll spread it out over the next FFP period. I think a new one has just started (I think I heard this). Obviously, the downside is - we'd have to sell eventually but that's how it is unless you're megabucks sides. Has always been so for us. I'm still pissed off over Sansom and Allen.

Red and Blue Army!

I've seen this a couple of times but he was up there in scoring wide players last year. He was also involved in a load of our goals, if not straight assists. He also was the second? most fouled player after Grealish. And Grealish falls over whenever he's within a foot of anyone. He cannot use public transport as a result of this.
