Theresa May is unquestionably damaged by this election on the back of a poor manifesto and a very poor and ineffective campaign, the worst I can remember.Lessons must and will be learned by this.

But at the end of the day she is leader of a party which got the most votes and the most seats (58 more than Labour), she is the PM, and we had the ludicrous argument put forward by Corbyn and McDonnell that Labour could form a minority Government !

Looks like a bumpy road ahead.

The purpose of Mrs May calling this election was to unify the country behind her brexit negotiation the result shows that the country does not want this.

It was not an ordinary 5 years have passed election but one she called for a purpose and that is clear by the result not what people want.

How does it leave the UK but massively disadvantaged in the negotiation, the EU know that the UK negotiators may not be representative and they already know that 49% of Brits don't want it anyway.

May could quite likely crash out regardless of the country its about her power.

I totally agree that Theresa May is damaged and I can only re-iterate that the manifesto was poor and the overall campaign abysymal.

But at least we offered what we could realistically deliver.Labour offered sky-in-the pie pledges and fantasy economics and people believed that there indeed is a 'Money-tree'.

She had a workable majority and was backed by everyone except the tiny lib dems and a handful of 'remainers'. Both of those have strengthened their positions with this catastrophic 'own goal'.

She tried to play the electorate and they saw through it.
