Do you feel the same way when someone like this landlord Is bullied or coerced into a decision by woke nutters? Because it seems to me that most of the motivation to take such action comes out of the fear of bad publicity and not personal ideals.
I mean it's exactly the issue, but ok, you agree he has the right to sell what he wants - a total non-story.
I have commented numerous times on this board criticising those on the left who are too quick to shut down other opinions - most recently related to the lecturer who lost her job in Brighton.

To be fair, and that is not something I enjoy doing when it comes to Lefties, I sometimes feel it is becoming increasingly difficult for those on the Left to display any kind of disapproval for this Woke insanity because the blow-back is far more intense.
For example what has happened to J.K.Rowling. Bloody vicious and literally turning on somebody who had backed almost 90% of this woke BS. Apostates are always treated far more harshly than almost anybody else.

It's almost like your fury is being completely engineered.

I know what you mean, but I've certainly never felt any sort of pressure from the 'woke insanity', but then I'm not anybody with a platform or in a position of influence.
It's kind of the whole point of my response to Wilo; I don't really know anyone who is all in on a lot of these newer ideas on the left, and I'm sub-30 living in London surrounded by fairly left-wing people. I think a lot of these stories get far more prominence than they should, and they're framed as if they're really strongly supported ideas, which I don't particularly think is true at all. That's why I say a lot of is engineered.
To be frank, it's the major problem with the left currently; this inbuilt arrogance that they are right and no other view should be considered - it's a huge part of why Brexit garnered so much support, and then people doubled down as leavers - the left did nothing to win votes more than tell people they'd be stupid to vote leave.
If their arguments were that good, they'd be more than comfortable with a bit of scrutiny.

Let's just dispose of the blah blah and get to the crux of the ssue. We have a rapidly increasing number of immigrants and their offspring in this country, and they are now influencing our culture, politics and institutions with the help of sycophantic stupid White leftists who are driven by guilt and misguided ideology. The result of this is that we are now being held to ransom by a small proportion of the population who wish to destabilize and divide while at the same time seeking power and influence for themselves. This manifests itself in many ways, and one of them is individuals and corporations being driven to uphold wokeness to protect their reputations and profits. In education, we have the usual leftist tutors and teachers spreading pseudo intellectual nonsense like critical race theory and trying to undermine White historical figures and history.
There needs to be some pushback and now. I'm tired of hearing self appointed speakers for minorities telling us that they are underrepresented when the opposite is clearly true in many instances.

It has been made plain to schools that it is illegal to teach the concept of 'White privilege' as though it was an undisputed fact and it has been made clear to teachers that their job is education not indoctrination.

Wait, so you think the crux of it is... immigration?
Well, I for one am shocked.

But you have just done your 3rd paragraph to willo. Closed down his opinion because its different to yours. Sub 30 I note. Age has a big input on these woke choices.

I haven't closed down his opinion, I've challenged it, which is exactly what I suggest should happen. I don't have any authority to 'close down' Wilo's opinion, I simply disagreed with it.

That’s fair and of course some people voted for Brexit for the same reasons that Benn, Corbyn & co were always against the Common Market/EEC/EC/EU.
