The Welsh are doing something like this as well leading to moans from people who own holidays homes there. I'm sorry but we have a chronic housing shortage in this country we should be discouraging people from buying second homes.

i spent a week in a touristy town in Western France. The whole suburbs of the town was nice empty houses....a Necropolis in all but name. owned by Parisians or Londoners ? who can tell. But i reckon there is a ton of similar towns everywhere....Cornwall or Brittany.
