The manager should alway choose the players he wants. It used to be always the way. No quotes from Roy regarding Mateta so did he want him?

Look at Eze. Who chose him. Freedman right? He is so good Roy plays him. So long as Mateta performs he will be picked. I really don’t think Roy has issues. Just plays who he wants to his way. JPM is such a beast I just hope Roy uses him.

Not seen much aerial stuff from the clips ive seen but looks very comfortable with the ball on the ground in that league. All in all I think he's a different player from Benteke so it will be interesting to see how, if at all, Roy integrates him into the side.
