Nick's arguments are (of course) complete nonsense. Interest rates on our borrowing now would be nowhere near as low as they are if we hadn't given the markets confidence over the last 6 years.

If we'd carried on spending the way the left wanted us to, we'd have a far higher Debt-GDP ratio, our borrowing would be so unaffordable we'd have to go cap-in-hand to the IMF. Like we used to do when the left were last in charge (1976).

Giving one side of an argument does not make one a propagandist. You are only using the word as you cannot go beyond the deride the poster type response rather than counter arguing.
