I think Roy was being his usual factual self. He was just stating that Arsenal's bid came nowhere near our valuation so no decision to be made.
If they offer what Parish thinks he's worth then obviously there will be a decision to be made.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that!

Agreed, and if you factor Wilfs' relationship to Steve Parish and the club as a whole if he does move it will be at his market value

You're right but I merely meant that Parish says we need to move forward and we should aim high yet he's clearly made errors and we now have no money. I wonder if he spouted his ambitions to Wilf when he was offered his new contract? If Wilf wants to win things he wont win them at Palace. I honestly think, if we don't bring in 4 or 5, we could get relegated. A few injuries, which is the norm for us, and we're knackered.

If a club is offering substantially less than our valuation of him, then I would expect even Wilf to be wary of their offer, no matter how much he wants Championship football, because if they don't value him that highly, what does his future there hold? Champions league football or warming the bench?

I’m normally pretty optimistic about Palace but I believe that if we do sell Zaha we are f***ed this season.
No one player is bigger than the club and selling would free up lots of cash on the wage bill and give us money to spend. That said we would have no time left to spend it. 22 days is no time to replace or rebuild and with no pre season we would struggle.

Spot on, Surely Parish knows that, he needs to keep it together, and not sell no matter what the price is, if its 200 million we still wont have the time or the pulling power as a club to recover.

We need to grow up as a club and let him go. As good as he is we are far too reliant on him. It's clear he wants to leave so a sulking Wilf wont help team spirit. We support the club with or without him.

At the price Parish is willing to, not below. That may be below the ticket price but nobody knows that yet because nobody’s bid offered more than a derisory £45 mil.

You cannot say we should let him go until we have a good offer and I’m glad for the fact Parish isn’t as weak as that.

At what price should we ‘grow up as a club and let him go’ then?

No one would argue that we should sell if the money is right but the timing has to be as well. The timing is off, if we sell it needs to be at the start of the window not the end.
I also don’t believe Wilf will sulk and have a negative effect on the team. There is absolutely no evidence to support this, people read way to much into social media, it’s probably not even him posting.
I have said before no one player is bigger than the club but we will be supporting a championship one next season if we sell him this late in the window.

Has anyone seen Wilf sulking? I haven't. Has he actually said he wants to leave and he wants to go to ArseAnal?..not heard that from him either. Seems to me that Wilf wasn't too happy about his brother's comments
and all the media talk is just page filling bulls***. As for those dillusional fcukwits from the Emerites Stadium....

Looking forward to seeing Wilf in the red and blue for years to come and Mr.Parish and co.flashing the cash on someone who knows how to stick the ball in the bloody net..Morelos for me, and a decent replacement for AWB.
Maybe Wilf can help get Palace into Europe which should be what the club is aiming for now.
Just my opinion
