In rely to my last post above, because we are clearly no longer a second best club. The team we are building of internationals could be challenging for champions league if we get it right. Push on and buy Benteke. We are building a phenomenol squad. Our part owner Americans are worth billions. We have arrived. We've got a great chairman with amazing football knowledge. Good advisors. Wenger's 'philosophy' is his immense vanity that he is a genius coach that can spot and nurture otherwise ignored talent, and therefore doesn't need to go to market to complement his creative team building.

Just like a bloke who thinks he's going to live forever and won't go to the doctor even if his head is falling off.

Benteke is a palace kinda player

No, Liverpool do not hold ALL the cards. The BEST cards yes. They are holding their breaths hoping to offload Benteken for the massive money they paid for him. They have less to lose and therefore more leverage but that's not ALL the cards. If we decide to leave the table they'll come back with a lower offer - but I don't think we want to risk that.
