So, I was proven correct. Dazza is nothing but an attention seeking narcissist that’s played you all like a fiddle. Whatever you may think I was only passing on information I was given does not mean it was not true. Sounds like Vieira was a back up in case they could not convince Favre which is clearly the case. Happy to take whatever stick you all want to give me.

It's so messed up that it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there's been rumour of an "ex-Nice manager" becoming the new Palace manager and then some numpty has assumed it's Vieira rather than Favre!!! Who even knows anymore - this whole thing is getting ridiculous!

I've not felt this excited about a Palace manager appointment since Frank de Boer....

Whether it's a success or not remains to be seen, presumably we've got Big Sam on speed dial. But in defence of Vieria, he came through the City group coaching ranks which, in fairness, usually bodes pretty well. He did very well at NYC, and was a bit of a mixed bag at Nice, but did have a season where he finished above a certain Lucien Favre. And the thing is, he is clearly a very impressive individual. It's a roll of the dice, for sure. But let's get behind him. Edited by Mstrobez (29 Jun 2021 12.50pm)

I think Viera worked with Favre for a time didn’t he? Maybe a plan for Viera to come with Favre to follow when he is ready? Anyway who the f*ck knows? I’ll just be glad to get someone in before this thread breaks through the 300 mark!

He should have plenty of well placed contacts in the game as well which could be useful

Vieira to Palace is now all over the relatively mainstream news outlets, with skysports going so far as to report that whilst he is the third manager we have agreed terms with after Nuno and Favre, the club expect this one to go through. Right, so what shall we all talk about now then?

It’s seems to be made up by people on Twitter with a few hundred followers.

We all knew we needed a new approach. Whoever we had could be deemed a risk at this stage. Let's turn up to Selhurst and back PV. Who knows! (PV if you're reading, please teach Luka how how be a proper centre mid please)
