Carol Thompson. Lovers rock album (Hopelessly in love) that's also been on my playlist for decades. Carol Thompson - I'm so sorry reminds me so much of being a kid and spending time with my godfather, thanks for posting this

Five great singers; Don Covay. Stones fans might detect the debt a certain Mr Jagger owes to the vocal stylings of the great soul man. Gram Parsons. Was the mainstay behind The Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo and some say he was the talent behind some of the Stones songs on Stick Fingers and EOMSt. Technically not a great voice but brings an emotional impact Nina Simone a classically trained pianist, she could also sing in just about any style, jazz, blues gospel, R&B, broadway, soul, even reggae. A certain Mr Bowie was impressed by this one Mary Margaret O'Hara Canadian singer who has hardly released any records over the last 30 years, most eccentric phrasing I've ever heard Captain Beefheart truly eccentric with a five and a half octave vocal range. Some of his stuff was so out there people are still catching up, this is him at his most accessible, It's still weird
