I think at the end of the day we need strength in depth. Our bench for last few games was nowhere near Premiership standard.

Hes a good player and provides some real needed competition. To people frustrated that hes being 'prioritized' over a left back just think about it. We have had bids rejected for the LB we want whereas and at some pretty serious money. Ive said for a while that Joel Ward has not been good enough and i want Big Sam to have the defense that HE wants. The sooner we can get a solid back four in place again, the sooner we start creeping back up the table.

Also, Kelly is currently filling in as RB, and Ward as LB, whilst we wait for a decent LB, Jenkinson will be an improvent as RB, and good competition for Ward as RB

Where's the £3m figure come from? That would be fantastic business.. £3m !!! Even if he flopped we'd be able to sell him for more... great buisness if true even if RB isn't the issue. Ward at LB with Jeffrey in front and Jenkins at RB. Sounds more solid already. Or Jeffrey at LB and Jenkins at RB. Would be perfect to sign an out and out LB but maybe we're forward planning for Pap to recover at some point even if next year. Maybe that's why we're switching ward to LB where he should do a capable job until Pap's return. Wonder if we're seriously looking at anyone else but sounds like they'll be a little in the kitty left. Good buisness!

I think this would add some depth to the squad and give us some options. Being able to drop either full backs when under performing would be a step in the right direction.
