I was surprised when he made the move to Russia and will have to admit that apart from seeing in the national team I have seen next to nothing from him. In the national team he was favored by Blind and played a lot, most of it from the wing. Did not really perform that great but the whole team frankly is struggling. I would not dare to give a verdict as I have little no to insight in the strength of the Russian League. What I would say is that I think in attack we should be looking first for a player who can play centrally behind Benteke as well as ideally upfront himself if the latter is not playing. And that is after spending money on defensive players (CB/RB)

Trying to find the most appropriate post to simply ask where we truly stand in transfer market at the moment? Too many other Premiership clubs
seem to be busy and successful in recruiting new faces....

Realistically with our budget I think that we would need to bring in some loans / frees. The squad was already struggling due to a lack of quality depth last year, and since then Kelly, Flamini, Remy, Campbell and Ledley have left and need replacing. Dreher and Kaikai seem to be the only youngsters who are likely to get significant pitch time.

Would be happy with any of the following on loan, and think they would be realistic:

Zouma
van Ginkel / Chalobah / Loftus-Cheek
Chambers / Fosu-Mensah (cover at both RB and CB)
Ings

Badstuber and particularly Rossi have had injury problems for years, struggling to even play 20 games a season.

Would be very happy with Sagna and Motta. Definite upgrades on Kelly and Flamini!

Celta. 18. Games. 4 goals

He's not prolific but a 4th choice that happy to train hard and give their best when called apon. Hardly gonna break the bank either.
