After seven games,no points,no goals etc etc we were a laughing stock. Two reasons why we are not, Hodgson has forged a good side with buckets of spirit and secondly his affable style wins friends wether they are Pep Guardiola or journalists. I hope the Roy and Ray combo can continue for a long time to come, speculation to the contrary is unhelpful and divisive. Three - as Zaha was only available to FdB during that sh*t show on the first day. He isn't our only good player, but the first win coincided with his return and his form has continued, so I don't think that can be discounted.

Even if SP has made plans he will have to keep them highly confidential. The last thing the team need is to know that RH's future is under consideration. As far as they or we are concerned RH is our manager whilst results are being achieved.

That was kinda my question to Lyons550, who I'm sure is just enjoying the moment as we all are. And I'm sure SP will be a bit more cautious next time, whenever that may be, and find someone who fits the club better.

He has already made three great choices: Pulis, Sam and now Roy. He also acted fast to correct his mistakes: FDB and Pardew.
Pardew was a great appointment and a big coup to tempt him away from a bigger club. Whatever happened later in Pardew's reign, and whether he should have been sacked earlier, to say appointing him was a mistake shows a high level of ignorance and really astounded anyone would view it that way.

How about if Dougie is quietly serving an apprenticeship under Roy, ready to take over when/if Roy makes the decision to stand down. It might just work!

Football......no the world......is too short term to consider anyone 2 years ahead. Roy is a star for us a brilliant choice at a critical moment by SP.

Certainly is, the Saints manager praised for the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford, then 2 days later losing to us has them saying 'he must go'. My favourite has to be Mark Hughes, apparently on his first day at Stoke four years ago, they were banners in the car park reading 'HUGHES OUT'.

But to be fair it has been a bit hit and miss... George Burley And ignoring the caretakers... Holloway achieved the goal of getting us up. So he was a good if not outstanding appointment. Warnock steadied the ship and handed it over in good shape and signed one of the players who has been a stand out for us over the past 2/3 seasons. So not at all bad there either.
