Cheers Willo, how ridiculous some of the things you remember about Palace!

The question wasn't who was the best Palace keeper, but who was the first you remember seeing. Of course John Jackson was the best. Enough said!

Bill Glazier was my first keeper, but his immediate successor, Tony Millington, also deserves a mention

Jacko, I remember being impressed when he tried to waste time at the end of a must win game (Man City home)by pretending he'd hurt his hand. My severe uncle who took me said Jackson should 'stop messing about'. The next year I remember a corner against Leeds when, he punched the ball out, punching Jack Charlton on the chin on the way through (much deserved).

Sorry, Bert Howe was, of course, left back. I thought Alf Noakes was left back. Blimey - Bert and Alf - don't those names sound outdated now? (with respect to any Berts and Alfs out there).

Bill Glazier for me, I thought the world would end when we sold him (I was young and impressionable). But of course him leaving paved the way for John Jackson after a brief Tony Millington (who someone else has just mentioned) interlude.

Burridge was also my first Palace keeper. Just watching that clip makes you realise what an athlete he was. Reckon he could of made a fine boxer.
