While it's important that we protect our oil interests in the region the less we have to do with the middle east the better. Let the US flex its military budget if it wants to....Our navy is definitely powerful but our politicians have been downgrading our forces for decades. I fully agree with the 'enemy within' commentary and the stupidity of enabling and appeasing it.....but this 'enemy within' extends beyond what's happening with that community anyway......weasels have been chipping away at this country for decades. While it's important that we protect our oil interests in the region the less we have to do with the middle east the better. Let the US flex its military budget if it wants to....Our navy is definitely powerful but our politicians have been downgrading our forces for decades.
