Overrated or not (I don't think he's overrated), he's still our best player and one of the most exciting players in the league. You see immaturity, I see passion.

Wilf is at times brilliant, but will never be a great footballer because of his flaws, he whines and moans too much, take Lineker, played when you really on kicked on the pitch in two of the toughest leagues, never ever got a booking, not one, his only retaliation was to score

I note that Wilf doesn't smile much like he used to. The petulance and body language suggests that something is bothering him. He needs a therapist to help talk it over and bring the smile back.

Wilf, is special that’s for sure, and the states show clearly how special he is to Palace. But his petulance is a flaw ,without doubt.

Do we yet know the nature of his injury? Whatever his merits - we don't win when he's out.

He's a drama king, but he's OUR drama king. I only wish he would: 1) realize that complaining about uncalled fouls makes him a boy-who-cried-wolf in the eyes of referees, I believe he is worth 2-3 times more to Palace than he is to any of the top 6 clubs. I hope he will stay at Palace for the rest of his career. Edited by CT Charlie (03 Feb 2021 1.30am) totally agree with 1 and 3 - and he appears to be getting worse. Reacted badly v Sheff Utd when a foul wasn't given and was booked for reaction v wolves when a foul was given. Although his goalscoring has improved this season his influence on games appears to have reduced a bit. Appears less able to take people on and his pace has definitely declined a bit - 1 to 1 with Fabino v Liverpool springs to mind, so easily dispossessed. His all round game hasn't really improved too - positional awareness in the box when we attack is poor and his inability to head the ball is a joke (look at how Ronaldo improved that part of his game). I love the guy and Palace are clearly a better team with him in it but at £130k a week he is incredibly well remunerated for his services. If a top 6 club came in for him and made a decent offer i'd have no issue with him moving on - but to react like he did when we rejected the Everton bid last season was very disappointing IMHO

Some people overlook the value he brings to the team. Even when not at his best the opposition need to have at least one, and usually two, defenders up his backside. This should, but often doesn't, give his fellow forwards extra space. Unfortunately our forward line, especially Beneteke and Bats often fail to use this advantage. His liaison with Eze is starting to bear fruit and will eventually blossom further. Hopefully our new signing will greatly benefit.
