What would hurt Sky more, is if everybody cancels/not renew their subscriptions.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I'd say you have grounds for a compensation claim against CPFC. Write to them to say that the late notice of the change of date is unreasonable and that you had already booked a flight that is non-refundable. Ask for reimbursement of the cost of the return flight rather than you pursuing the matter through the small claims court. The club dont arrange fixtures, the PL, TV and Police do. Why would the club be liable for any compensation, its not their call. The seat purchased is still available for use.

The contract is between the season ticket holder and the football club. Your final sentence is of course correct, but irrelevant.

The purchase of a season ticket, is often before the fixtures are announced. The contract is to supply the seat of purchase for Premier games during the season.

The biggest grip is not that the game is on a Monday night but how late it was moved. I’m not a fan of Monday night football and would love the majority of home games to be played 3 pm on Saturday. However we take the money so have to suffer the consequences.

It’s this sort of attitude that will never change anything. A fans boycott for Monday night football could spread across other clubs and eventually make a difference. It’s such a kick in the teeth to fans to change it at short notice - especially those who live far away and for away fans. Perhaps fans should stay at the back of the stand for the first 10 minutes and cover the seats with some kind of banner. It would make a statement at least Its not wasting energy and missing something I love for a fight that I wont win. I know its super annoying for some that don't live close or have commitments however.
