Sadly, we produce goalkeepers who move to other clubs. The finished product is always more expensive than a home grown talent. Would like to see an academy goalkeeper in early cup matches. That would focus minds of first team keepers.

I remember we had David Fry in the early 80s who did ok when called upon. Think he moved to Gillingham so maybe he wasn't that good!!

Back to Johnstone - if JB goes to Bournemouth for a few million this seems a reasonable swap IMHO.

One of my former colleagues now works for Rangers - poor sod hasn't quite recovered from losing in Seville. He has confirmed they are very interested in Butland and that Palace are one of a number of clubs looking at Aribo (who he says in his opinion has probably done all he can in terms of progression at Rangers.

Wages will be a problem for any move for Butland but a player plus cash deal for Aribo might suit both parties.

Noticed the Rangers keeper (McGregor?) extended his contract.
