Nothing wrong with it. It's just irrational like all phobias and can be cured

Kermy, you have just said there's nothing wrong with it and then you call it irrational.

I'm actually going along with Gusset's (erroneous) use of the word.

Personally, I don't see what's wrong with prioritising one's own workforce over a non-native one. Gusset sees this as'xenopohobia' which, of course, it isn't.

You can't spread radicalism like that on here.

Ultimately the ideological left and elements of the capitalistic right lost the argument on the EU.

Many of us had been saying they would for years. We put up with the insults for years and after the vote those insults have intensified.

Don't tell a Pole to 'go home', but you can insult a leave voter all you like. Both actions are wrong actually.

Xenophobia or not, I'm interviewing for several positions currently and the quality of British applicants, holy f***ing christ. The problem, as I see it is the standard of British applicants, which needs to be addressed seperately. But if I were to hire these asshats, I'd be fired. I would love to hire more British applicants, but they've got to be up to scratch.

His entire phrase was erroneous.

You can't be borderline phobic about anything.

Explain, in detail, what's wrong with xenophobia.

There is when it leads to a 5 fold in attacks against people in these communities. I really wouldn't care if we had zero immigration, but people already living and working here from abroad deserve to be allowed to live their lives without being attacked or made to feel that they don't below. So it's wrong from that perspective if or when it leads to this kind of thing.

As with everything with most common sense and decency kicks in so hopefullly lots of whats going on now will settle down in time. It will depend on what brexit deal with get. If the deal includes 'freedom of movement' which is still a distinct possibility I can only see things getting worse due to increasing tensions.

I did. Correct.

edit: nothing wrong with it unless it manifest's itself in outright nasty hostility I should add.

"The European Union's top trade official says the UK cannot begin negotiating terms for doing business with the bloc until after it has left.
"First you exit then you negotiate," Cecilia Malmstrom told BBC Newsnight.
After Brexit, the UK would become a "third country" in EU terms, she said - meaning trade would be carried out based on World Trade Organisation rules until a new deal was complete.
A recent trade deal with Canada took seven years to negotiate.
The Canadian agreement will also require ratification by all EU countries, adding another one to two years before it takes effect.
Ms Malmstrom, the EU Trade Commissioner, underlined that detailed talks to shape the UK's new trading relationship with the EU should not start until after the process of leaving politically, under an Article 50 process lasting up to two years."

If May gets the vote I can see the 'Leave' result being shelved on the basis it's unworkable.

Which is why I just love the thought of decreasing the number of imported cheap labour and increasing the number of high calibre graduates. Just the thought, not actually doing it to the scale in my thoughts.

I'd just love to fast forward and see it for a few a while and then rewind back. Tabitha and Toby, the spoilt, self-important, facebook sulking wimps reading Mummy's Daily Mail to discover that they've failed to get into their chosen industry for 30 months because of mass migration, only this time affecting them.

I can see it now. Okay for migrants in London to serve them their coffee, come to study, chat and kiss in nightclubs, but not able to afford unpaid internships to get on the career ladder. But scooping up all the top jobs? 'That's so unfair, Mum.'
