Hodgson has served as a manager for a period extending 45 years and has of course managed internationally and I believe he has been at the helm at 15 clubs. He has not had long periods between jobs over the 45 years and this speaks volumes for how he has been viewed over a long period. He is hugely experienced and is respected in the world of football.

Dont you realise that the new manager is already here. Once Roy steps down, in steps Dougie. You look at Roy's style of play and players like Eze dont seem to add up. Dougie is getting players he wants for his side. Plus there are no costs involved in getting him. The only thing will be if there is a top class manager available at the time, and they are prepared to come here.

You look at Roy's style of play and players like Eze dont seem to add up. Dougie is getting players he wants for his side.

Plus there are no costs involved in getting him.

The only thing will be if there is a top class manager available at the time, and they are prepared to come here.

I have considered the possibility that should we retain our place in the PL this season and Hodgson has a desire to continue he could well be given the opportunity to do so.

For reasons of continuity,may be in the Club's best interests to extend Roy's stay for at least another year.Probably our best start for many a year and at last,we have a new attacking style with Ezre starting.
Roy at the end of his contract can then enter the political arena and show his true leadership qualities,like Biden!!

If i wanted easy on the eye, pleasant football id follow man city, liverpool etc...

its always one or the other with palace...good football and no points or s***e football and points on the board! never at the same time.

Something of an over-simplified statement. We've had both at the same time - the Venable years for starters - although I accept such a combination has not happened as often as we would have liked.

I think if we show some attacking intent at Burnley, most on here will say "We had a go but it wasn't our day". If we go with defence only in mind, the critics will return. Rightly to my mind, because we have the players to attack and beat Burnley. IMO I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Burney have hardly been awash with goals, only scoring 1 in their last 6 PL games. I just believe it will be a far harder challenge than perhaps many expect.

Every game is a cup final for Burnley at the moment which will make it a tight match. They are desperate for points. Having said that, they have scored so few goals that 1 for us could win us the game, so I’m going for a narrow victory.

Then we get games where Roys seems to wake up.. "we can win this".. great games against UTD, Soton, Leeds. Not sure fully about Fulham although we won, if was more of a "safe format"....to get a win.
