I can't believe it really... I mean, sums up palace.
Mid table obscurity where we get the points to stay up comfortably, but hav to witness some shocking matches and defeats? Mid table is 11 wins and say 11 draws, that leaves 16 losses. Relegation battles are generally 9 wins, 10 draws, 19 losses All it equates to is 2/3 extra wins a season and probably getting the majority of them before spring. Guess what I am saying is we sprint out, get a 3 win gap over the bottom 5 and then be as bad as them for the rest of the season which causes confusion as the association is always to look up and wonder why.
This was once a quality forum.... |

Amongst the ongoing debate about the performance can we not at least acknowledge two goals of the highest technical quality. Great skill and opportunism by Mateta for the first and a brilliant volley by Benteke for the second. I thought Mateta's movement for the first was something we haven't seen in a Palace shirt for a very long time. Yes its about service but also about creating an opportunity with movement in the box and on the basis of that goal alone he looks very promising. And though I am not a fan of Benteke, that was a really well taken goal.
