Joe Biden’s impeachment enquiry starts today in the US looking at over $50m funnelled to the Biden family through numerous nominee and off companies (classic money laundering typology aimed at hiding transactions) and the BBC says nothing. Hunter Biden who headed the scheme did absolutely nothing to justify the money and just sold his Dad Joe for influence. The Biden brand. It will make Trump’s misdemeanours look petty. In fact the biggest bribery & corruption scandal in the history of a standing President. Of course, the BBC will eventually have to report it kicking and screaming but will try to water it down as much as they can. Lefties stick together in this unwell world. 150 SARS (suspicious activity reports) filed by the banks regarding the Biden transfers and the Department of Justice and FBI did nothing. No investigative curiosity from BBC. This is all quite extraordinary and shows what a very strange double standard world we live in media wise. I’m no right wing idiot, just a middle of the road Joe who is very disillusioned.
The beatings will stop when morale improves. |

The BBC covered this during the PM programme with a live report from their correspondent in the USA who talked to Evan Davis. It was described as an investigation and not as important as either of the Impeachment enquiries mounted on Trump. Essentially a fishing expedition which so far has turned up nothing at all except unsubstantiated innuendo. The idea that this will make Trump’s misdemeanours look nothing is risible. This is 100% a political act so transparent that the voters there will all see through it easily. No genuine middle of the road person would be unable to see it. Why would the FBI publicise anything that resulted from a SAR? They are automatically generated by the banks whenever large sums get transferred in ways that could indicate suspicious activity. Not does. Very few result in any action as most are innocent. So we would only hear if indictments followed. The BBC wouldn’t even know. The Republicans are fishing.

Wisbech I’ve worked in Financial Crime my whole life and know money laundering, and bribery and corruption when I see it. My point is that the BBC are shielding Biden and not reporting this scandal properly. You seem to lap up their narrative as a person who believes and sees what they want to. Open your eyes man.

In due course this is a story Wisbech will acknowledge he was duped on and be as shocked as anyone when the full scale breaks properly. This has nothing to do with a Trump distraction. If anything the reverse is true. Biden of course will suddenly rely on dementia to try to avoid prosecution and the circus will continue. You can write it for these clowns. Give us a good politician in the US for f’s sake. Reagan was good. Clinton as well. Where have all the good men or women gone?

You have no more knowledge of the facts than I do. I have little doubt that members of Biden’s family and entourage would have been cultivated by a great variety of interests. I suspect that to be true of most of those close to political leaders everywhere. Nor does it appear unlikely that Hunter in particular traded on his father’s reputation. Was that wise? Not in my book. Was it corrupt? Who knows? Only time will tell. As I have said many times here Hunter is not President. He isn’t even a politician. He is someone with a troubled past whose father is. I have also said that should any actual evidence emerge of corruption by anyone that it should be prosecuted with the full force of the law. So far all that exists is the type of innuendo in your last post. Right now there is no scandal. The Republicans just want people to believe there is one. It seems you have been sucked in by it. The BBC are not shielding anyone. Why on earth would they? If evidence emerges and indictment or impeachment results it will be reported. They are already reporting the Congressional hearing. Zero chance of this I agree that Biden will never see punishment due to cognitive decline
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I would be disappointed. What I will do is wait for facts. Not convict someone on political rumourmongering. Trump’s situation is totally different. He faces actual indictments. Lots of them. Biden faces none. I don’t believe Biden will stand and have also said this for a long time. He did his job in ousting Trump and returning some sense of normality to Washington.

I notice that the young lad that murdered the 15 year old schoolgirl in Croydon has not had his race mentioned by the BBC but they are happy to headline "Policeman on trial for murdering a black man" They really should state the race for everyone or no-one in circumstances like this
