Whatever our thoughts on AP and many of us on here have wildly differing views we all want Palace to do well.
At the moment and for the last 10 months (other than the Cup) we haven't.
So - either the players are not good enough or the Manager isn't doing his job properly.
Our players on paper are good enough to finish in the top 10 if organised and directed and managed properly.
In my opinion that is not happening - I don't see a team with spirit or a game plan nowadays.
I don't expect us to win the League or get into Europe but I do want to see improvements.
Our playing staff has improved - even though some good players have been let go - but we are still doing badly - why?
The Manager has been supported financially and seems to get his way on most things but still we can't get it right.
Think about this - how many points would you have expected from the following games - West Brom (h), Bournemouth (h), West Ham (h), Burnley - I expected 7/8 points in all honesty - instead we have one point from those games and we have scored three goals and let in 6.
Just not good enough - and this against teams who we need to get points off.
I am convinced that AP will take us down if we are not careful.
Let's see what the Owners think.
PS - we will probably beat City in two weeks time - that would be just like CPFC!!

..but we are not playing badly, we are making individual player mistakes and having a bit of a problem with luck that is all, in every game we are creating good opportunities to score and creating opportunities to get points, if we were not doing this then yes I'd agree that Pardew is in trouble, all you doom and gloomers are doing is making yourselves look very silly for when Mr Pardew eventually sorts out these very minor problems .. and every team below us in this league isn't shit, they have earned their right to play in this league.

Straight from the AP school of Press conferances.

Ohh and I love the fact you think winning only 5 games out of 36 is a minor problem.

Good grief.

So thats over 35 years behind the red and blue, To have blokes that havn't been off thier mums tit that long digging you out over a difference of opinion is annoying.

We all want Palace to do well. My view is that AP has assembled a squad that are better than his managergerial expericance can handle.

It seems quite obvious to anyone who has a basic knowledge of football that the players are almost playing within themselves to fit his way of playing. When we went two up front we battered Burnley. But as is the way with AP he will only revert to that after teams have had a 45 minute head start, or a goal or two. That arrogance is what IMO will take us down.

No problem, Danny. I don't agree with you but I certainly don't want to get into a slanging match with you or anyone else about it.

And I'm glad I stopped being a mod.

Missed the game today due to illness, but conceding 3 goals at Burnley is not how you stay in this league. No clean sheets in 16. That is unbelievably bad.

If Pardew is to go, and it does seem that more people are leaning that way, then when do you pull the plug ?

If we don't get at least 3 points from the City, Southampton and Swansea games then I'm afraid a change needs to be made before it's too late. Give any prospective manager a chance to work with the squad before January when he can potentially make some changes.

I litsened to the match on radio london. The comentators said it wasthe most exciting match all season. BUT: we missed 3 or 4 great chances and you cant expect to win matches doing that. More importantly we are leaking goals big time. Personally I think we miss Jedinak badly and havnt really replaced him. Also Souare is a big miss too, Individual players keep on making mistakes, and the overall defensive/attack balance just isnt right. I think we will buy in another LB in January, but we alao need a really dominant DM and a creative play maker in midfield.

Like a few on here I'm moving away from Pardew at this moment but still have the faith in the owners who have made the right decisions in relation to managerial changes. Pards must surely see that his achilles heel is the defence and unless it changes by Xmas he will be out of the door, no matter what relationship he has with the owners. Warnock went the same when Pards arrived.

Our defence is the big problem that needs addressing, should've been done in January and wasn't, then the summer came and went. We need a decent DM, a proper upgrade on Jedi. We also need better full backs, Soaure is a miss for us but we could do with an upgrade on Ward too. Delaney has heart but is getting too old to rely on and Tompkins needs time to form a partnership with Dann.

Going forwards we look class at times, only the top 4 have scored more than us but that is all being overlooked by individual errors costing us. Pardew needs to have a plan set for our return from the break because we need to be a lot more solid at the back, I can see the way we play is coming together but until we can keep a clean sheet its not going to be good enough.
