I've always said that what Alex Jones said about Sandy Hook was wrong, but in a free world he has a right to say it.

The argument that nutters persecuted those families has weight but it's wrong to suggest that Alex Jones was the only person pushing this conspiracy theory. Yet he's the only one they have prosecuted for it to destroy. Those people who harassed those families need and I believe have had the attention of the law as it should be. There are opinions and then there are targeted harassments intended to harm someone.

People who make death threats and stalk others do need to pay a price for that harassment. Jones never advocated for these things. He wasn't contacting employers, he wasn't giving out locations.

Jones apologised many times, he's never supported the harrassment of those families and also made that plain many times. All of this is ignored because it doesn't suit the agenda of those out to get him.

The idea that things can't be said because negative consequences come from it would mean we'd have to burn many many books and films and limit and ban speech.....ironically this is what the fascists who these people purport to hate did.

No, Alex Jones has been prosecuted for political reasons. The financial requirements made of him are nothing short of insane and have the contempt of anyone viewing this through a sensible lens.

Jones is a scatter gun but it shouldn't be forgotten that this guy has been right in the past about topics no one else would talk about....for example Bohemian Grove and Epstein's island.

The prosecution of Jones is intended to have a chilling effect upon anyone who would counter the mainstream narratives.....it's not about the truth, it's about power.

As anyone who has watched InfoWars over the years knows Alex Jones is a special case. InfoWars is a purely a way of making a great deal of money from impressionable people by feeding them lies and conspiracy theories. It has caused immense harm.

What has happened to Jones is very far from persecution. It’s long overdue justice after years of tolerance in the pursuit of freedom of expression for all. When actual harm is done is the time to act, decisively and conclusively.

What ought to happen to others is another matter. What has happened to Jones is no more than he deserves.

Trump is a self serving chancer who doesn’t know the difference between the truth and a lie. So long as it aids him both are equal.

Biden is a politician.

Biden is a politician.

When Trump was President and told lies about unimportant things The press went mad and some people on here explained to the rest of us that because he was President what he said and how truthful he was matters hence the blanket press coverage.

Well Biden is President and he seems to be getting very little coverage over his lies.

I don't see how you can defend him on this.

Why can't you understand that Trump is evil personified and if you
think otherwise you are stupid and evil too.

Similarly Biden is honest, wise, mentally acute and all round good guy who has a troubled son ( due to family misfortune ) and who is not a corrupt freeloader who possibly was making money for his father.

It's an awful lie too. Of course people were going to check.
Biden remembering more things that never happened.

It is quite amazing how the preference is seemingly for somebody who will quite literally fabricate anything to play out a character of a President as opposed to somebody who may well say things that do not hit the 'right' chords but is at least being their genuine selves.

As with most politics, it seems to be the choice of a lesser of two evils. Why one is seemingly much preferred to another I have no idea especially when that one is quite obviously a complete abandonment of reality.

Is the politician who is fit for office and therefore able to ad lib with honesty and integrity such a fairy tale? And if not why are people so content to delude themselves as an alternative? Or is that just the American dream? Quite literally I'd suggest.

If Trump had just massaged the truth a little, as every politician does, over little things no-one would have cared too much. That was, and still isn’t, the issue with him. His problem is that he doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies so tells very big lies, like the election was stolen.

Trump’s behaviour is a million times worse than anything Biden may have done, either in error or intentionally to emphasise a point. I am not following that story and nor it seems are the media because it’s just a piece of nonsense, the sort the right love to try to pick up and claim proves Biden is no different.

Most of us understand that although Biden has some frailties he is at heart a decent man whose moral compass points in the right direction. Trump is the polar opposite.

It's been a constant for Biden. I personally couldn't believe it when he completely copied Kinnock's miner speech. Absolutely mind-boggling, shocking and a complete fraud. It's not even a joke.

I was vaguely aware of this.

In a weird, oxymoronic fashion, there's almost some honesty in the things Trump supposedly lied about, as in that's surely part of his personality/self?

With Biden I see it as far more sinister and nefarious. I don't even believe it's him that is 'lying', he's merely the mouthpiece, the puppet on stage, and the American people must surely be offended by such obvious, deliberate, calculated and unapologetic insults to their intelligence and the charade of a 'democratic government'?

I might as well go over there, speak of how I abolished slavery, started all the great American industries, piloted the Apollo 11 mission, won numerous Olympic Gold's, 17 Nobel peace prizes and bake the greatest apple pie ever known to man. If they want a fantasy I am sure I could deliver a far more grandiose one!
