This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I said on here at the start of the window, we should get a young rb and winger, such as the guy that as gone to Newcastle. To buy them early, as it was fairly obvious that this was going to happen. We havent prepared for the most predictable scenario. Is there enough time now to get replacements in, and of the right fit.

A transfer request means he actually does want to leave so it means a lot in all fairness. It's been fairly clear that he wanted to leave. He's just throwing his toys around.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle We can't possibly sell him on the last day, with no replacements in sight. Unless the plan is to be in last place by January. Take away Zaha's goals, which he scores all on his own. Plus Luka's PK's, which mostly came from fouls on Zaha. Plus goals that Zaha sets up for others, like the amazing last goal of the season that Zaha set up for Townsend. What would we be left with? It's mind boggling to think how dire our offense would be.

Who cares? A transfer request means nothing. 80 million will not make up for 5 years in the Championship and he will soon get bored with sulking once the season starts. Exactly. He has now waved goodbye to any bonuses related to performance and we'll now see if a club will actually stump up what we'll accept...not what they think we will!

Not good form to hand in a transfer request 1 day before the deadline, but Wilf has not only kept us up most seasons, just by being on the pitch, he has also been the best bit of business this club will ever do. I think a transfer request for Everton is a bit odd. I'd understand it more if it were one of the top 6, but, I suppose they are spending heavily this season. The main issue I have is our purchasing strategy. Why on Earth have they not spent the AWB money+ to get in the 5 players we defo need before it got to this is beyond me. This just happens every season. No wonder Pulis/Allardyce left. Roy please don't go. Pulis lied to us and we took him to court and won. Ditto Allardyce when he stepped down and said he wanted to take a break before ending up at Everton. They’re both snakes.
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If it is true, it is very usual as to hand in a transfer request means that a player foregoes a percentage of the transfer fee. There was an article in 4-4-2 (I think) about why it is so rare. Partly is it down to what fans will think about a player but mostly it is financial. Obviously putting in a transfer request doesn't actually change anything (if it indeed has happened) as he's our player until we agree to sell him. If it is true, I hope we get a player as part of the deal as getting one elsewhere will have become much more expensive.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle We are going to have to do some lightning business tonight and tomorrow now. You cant keep a player that doesnt want to be here. I remember seeing Andy Gray play when he wanted to leave. Truly awful and missed a pen. I would imagine a high bid for Watkins now. Once again, truly awful Management.
