And don’t forget the mighty Graham Potter and 1 point behind the genius that is Bielsa. From a comparative analysis view, the point thats being raised is can those other managers get more out of OUR squad than Roy? What they are getting out of their squads compared to what Roy is getting out of our squad is not a valid comparison

Which younger players are you referring to as those that know a great deal more about our development and age related squads say that there is no-one ready for the first team. Those out on loan who people here are crying out to be promoted to the first team are hardly tearing up trees in their lower league clubs

Speculation is rife .. But the basic fact is: We are stuck in a rut with Hodgson playing only one (defensive) way using his favourite players (who he once could rely on but now cannot) That is why so many have contributed to this thread. Well, Roy was hired 3 & a half years ago & he's the only manager in the 8 years since we were promoted who has brought through a single academy prospect into Premier League football. 3 players he's given debuts to, to be precise & 2 to great success. So it's the opposite of a basic fact really. I take the point that he's been largely reluctant to, but I'd be interested to see how many managers in the Premier League have brought through more academy prospects in that period of time. Especially managers at clubs outside the top 6.

And Wilf has been out for the past several games.

I think the board have a massive decision to make, as whatever happens the squad needs a massive makeover, and if Roy sees this out it they will be younger but the same type of players so will be dreadful still to watch, but we will probably stay in the Premier League, the other option is to bring a new manager in and get his type players and make a clean sweep of it but has risks remember De Boer but i hope they keep Roy on as a consultant or in some capacity anyway.

AWB forced to play him when all right back options were out injured. Mitchell forced to play him when all left back options were out injured. Over to you Originally posted by Mstrobez

If they were not considered good enough then a senior player would be played out of position. Martin Kelly and Tomkins have both played full back.
