You make a very good point, Roy has done a wonderful job for this club over the last four plus years and has been a great revenue generator by keeping us in PL. He has put up with a lot of criticism and he has not been supported in the transfer market and yet he has not walked away, like others did before him. Why would any decent Manager want to take on such a high risk job due to the aged squad and at least 12 squad members out of contract this summer and then in all probability he would likely only be given a very modest transfer budget. As they say better the devil you know! Well Steve Parrish knows he will have to bend to get the right manager. If he doesn’t make allowances and promises we won’t get the manager he wants and we want. The trouble with Steve Parrish, he goes to ground with very little dialogue of what the plans are moving forward for next season. The silence is deafening now

As I (and others) have said before, I'd far rather Parish continued to keep his cards close to his chest. Whilst we might all like to know his thoughts and plans re the manager, players contracts, transfer targets and negotiations with sainsburys for their land, there isn't a single one of those elements where speaking publicly would improve the clubs position.

A lot of chat on here about Dyche as a replacement and understandable. However, Burnley have new owners who may well give Dyche money to strengthen and enlarge his squad. If that is on the cards, why would he want to come here? Whoever is manager next season will not have seen significant sums spent by our board in this coming summer's transfer market IMHO. At best we'll get a couple of good younger players and a couple of (hopefully) useful loans and maybe a so-called freebie or two. As I've said many times before - evolution not revolution (and it will be painstakingly slow). If Hodgson is up to staying I expect him to be here next season.

I agree with these sentiments, we tried revolution FdB and we quickly saw what damage that can do,it's much better we have a safe pair of hands at the helm with so players out of contract its needs experience to get us through what will be a very difficult period!

Would you be willing to pay for 4 x season tickets shortly without knowing what is going on at the club, because that is the sort of decision people will be having to make?

Season ends Sunday 23rd May. Parish being a bit tricky here? I wonder how many leave it until phase 2 unless they announce something after Parish might have realised people aren’t jumping to get back for football that’s hard to watch. Phase 1: 20/21 Season Ticket holders have an exclusive renewal period of six weeks at the lowest rates, between 6th April – 14th May. Phase 2: Between 15th May – 18th June, 20/21 Season Ticket holders and all 19/20 Season Ticket holders can purchase a 21/22 Season Ticket and save their seat. These prices are also frozen from the Phase 2 window in 19/20, and supporters can pay by direct debit during this window. The direct debit programme will be managed in-house, with 0% interest and no fees charged. Phase 3: Remaining Season Tickets go on general sale from 24th June, and will also be priced as per Phase 3 pricing in 19/20. A range of Membership products which enable ticket access will also be on sale from June.

There's been some very dubious goings on with the Burnley takeover. After initial belief there would suddenly be money the new owners started talking like little would change and Dyche had no backing in January. They also seem to have borrowed a lot of money to complete the deal putting Burnley into debt. Dyche has said he thinks there might be a bit more money going forward, but it certainly doesn't look like he'll be able to do that much. His relationship with the new owners will probably dictate whether he is there next season. Dyche has impressed me in the way he has got Burnley playing a more high press game recently, showing he has more than one string to his bow. Maybe this is him showing prospective bosses that he has more to offer than just lumping balls up to giants? If you listen to Dyche the one thing he and his team seem to be very good at is identifying players who will work hard for the team and be willing to fight tooth and nail for a result. He seems to really value team spirit and for a club of our size that is really important. On paper he is certainly the most qualified to take over if he wanted the job, but I imagine Burnley will do everything they can to keep him.

The thing is Gary, when did anyone receive confirmation of the managers job security, his preferred tactics, team selection and likely transfer targets before buying their season tickets? You don't know what you're getting, but such is the nature of the beast, always has been.
