But my quid is still a quid.
What its worth in the high street is down to market forces.
A crpto is worth A on monday and B on friday.
The difference can be massive in real terms.
Tell me?
If its in a wallet of your own does it keep the value you purchased it for.
A wallet only prevents you losing it if the password is lost; as happened when this guy met the grim reaper

...that buys less than it did 5, 10, 20, 30 etc years ago and the pattern can't change.

Thats natural as the price of anything will go up.
Its called inflation and all economies have it.
Competition by suppliers of goods and services give the consumer a choice though.
Blimey 30 years ago the WWW wasnt around and now digi currency is the way forward?

Thats natural as the price of anything will go up.
Its called inflation and all economies have it.

Inflation is the amount of money in the system, not prices going up.
The more you pump into any given market the more it devalues what currently exists ie wheelbarrows full of cash needed to buy a loaf of bread. The bread hasn't changed, it's still a loaf of bread, the currency has been devalued hence needing so much more to buy the same item.
The dollar's lost around 97% of it's purchasing power since it's inception (1913)............but it's still a dollar.

I get that you don't like this space so let's just call it a day.

So Bitcoin has stabilized now after it got hit so hard. Do you think confidence is coming back... Good entry point now? Interested to bear peoples views

I bought some litecoin the other week, at a near 1-year low. Didn't invest much but happy to leave it for a few years and see what it does. I see it as low risk as over time the investment doesn't amount to much, but has potential to go crazy at some point such is the way of crypto.

Crypto 'winters' (when the price tanks) are great times for developers to continue their work without the constant distractions of price.
Day by day this market continues to grow and improve so yes, still a good time to b........

I'm not well versed in this stuff but noticed that the value of Bitcoin has been stagnant for a while now? Is there any consensus forming on what might be next on its wild ride?

No one has the faintest idea what will happen to the value of bitcoin in the future. Anyone telling you otherwise is a liar or a fool.
