I hadn't even noticed; she may well be an American scientist. It seems that my desire to find a cure for a global pandemic was more important to me than the race of the scientist in the jpg. Here's a BBC vaccine article featuring white people to make you feel better [Link] Back here a third time under another name. I guess you just love that pollution don't you Wordy.

Distance and keep clean. Everyone will know this by now even those coming from other countries. People with symptoms will be stupid to go out. Those coming over 25 to a dinghy dont seem to be taking that advice!

We're talking about the coronavirus so highlighting a vaccine matters much more than turning it into ANOTHER race thread, other than where it's relevant to health. You ought to learn to not lash out when something said doesn't tally with your apparently wayward racial outlook. There are much more important things going on in the world right now. That's my final word on this. Edited by BlueJay (18 May 2020 8.30pm)

It's you making a big deal of it.

Yes there are adult and reasoned ways to talk about race in a topic like this. The vitamin D discussion was relevant and pertinent. As I said, I hadn't noticed the race of the individual in the jpg on account that I posted it due to a possible advancement of said vaccine. Choosing to make light of that comment isn't making a "big deal" out of anything. The reaction came from you, racey. Time to move on.

Do we have loads of race threads? Where? Regardless no one's turned this into a 'race' thread. But you are certainly turning it into a whiny one. If someone chooses to make light of something that's for them. Who are you the 'humour' police? Edited by Stirlingsays (18 May 2020 8.56pm)

It was me that made light of a comment, that you then leapt in at because obviously it didn't align with your own racial preferences. The ludicrous hypocrisy of giving me grief over people making jokes, when that's what you're doing. Get back on topic, boyo.

Edited by BlueJay (18 May 2020 9.03pm) Errr....my comment to you didn't mention race. It was your reply that wanted to highlight and focus upon race and I've criticised your apparent comment policing. This isn't the bbs.

I have a radical idea. It's called discussing the Coronavirus. Also, it's detached from reality to say that I wanted to focus on race, when I was replying in a comic way to a post about that very topic. You'll also notice that I didn't pick you up on your joke. You're the one that went off the deep end at mine due to some kind of racial sensitivity.

Sunlight or more precisely good vitamin D levels and air circulation appear to be the best practical weapon against it. Social distancing is all the rage at the moment and while there is sense in that it's an obvious non starter in terms of the economy functioning properly. The race is on to work out what to do come October. As for the rest of your commentary....I'll ignore the mischaracterisation and as you say....'move on'.
