I do have concerns over where any move would leave Wickham though.

This is more unrealistic rumour ever, for Liverpool to even to consider to sell , they will want to recoup if not all or most of the 32.5m paid to villa

So how is letting him go out on loan (to try and recover his form and therefore justify a bigger fee) unrealistic?

Benteke been linked with juve,Chelsea and many big clubs this summer. Lfc will loan out benteke,if say juve are willing to pay 25 to 30 million. That would be triple our transfer record. Plus wages over 100k a week.

They almost certainly wouldn't have handed over £32.5m in one go.

In spite of hardly fitting in with the Liverpool style of playing, in terms of goals and assists per minute played last year was his best season

I read that he is on 140,000 per week so Ings at half that might be a better bet - and probably also surplus if they get Mane
