If they get on well with the selling club or perhaps want a favour done in return, they can say they are in for the player to drive the price up for other more interested teams. I know for a fact that this happens on transfers.

Absolute monster in the air but it would remove the option of playing Wickham at the same time. I think we should be looking for a striker than can play on his own as well as on the shoulder of the last defender; waiting for flick ons and through balls from Wickham. Berahino or even Ings would be a better target in those respects.

Just got a feeling we will be looking at a one year loan deal. Likely to have to pay a loan fee of around 3m is my guess but if he does well then Liverpool will get more for him in the summer of 2017 - remember he is only 25.

Would probably suit all involved. Benteke has definite quality and if fit and firing would be an asset to Liverpool. And even if he wasn't then if he's had a decent season in the prem for another team is far more bankable. I do have concerns over where any move would leave Wickham though.
