More to the sacking than that though. And I didn't want Frank, then had to be positive rather than negative and then the summer shambles and playing more than half the team out of position. It was a cocktail of shambles, arrogance, naivety, no fvcking good. Good riddance. Managers should respect these jobs, not treat them and people around them with arrogant contempt. Frank would never have done as well as Roy after what we saw. He doesn't realise you almost start again as a manager. All good points Rudi

All good points Rudi You are having a row with yourself mate. No one is praising him or thinks he should have stayed. You thinking that he should have gone after 1 game is still as ridiculous as it was at the time. If everyone was judged on one game then AJ , Jedinak and loads of others would never have got a second game.

To be fair when you moan, whinge, get aggressive and demand action at every little thing, eventually you will be proved right once, law of averages.

There were rumblings of discontent within the club and thoughts that they had made a mistake before the first game had even been played.

Anyone who understands football and is reasonably intelligent understands that 1 game is not enough time to give a manager. it was an awful performance against Huddersfield, shocking. But 1 game is not enough simple. Just because he went on to be awful doesn't mean you were right. As soon as it became apparent the guy was the wrong man for the job he was sacked. Fairplay. As for Sorloth you are just plain wrong. He was played out of position mostly and still looked useful. Then against Chelsea he scored a great goal that was incorrectly ruled out and hit the post. He will get at least 10 goals next season and never mind not getting 3 I predict he will score 3 THIS season.

FDB’s reign was a disaster BUT The underlying issue at Palace is Parish. Poor signings (Sorloth and Rakip being the latest) and an inability to keep a decent manger longer than a relegation survival stint. Re. Rakip- I understand he is on loan till the rend of the season but has not figured at all yet. Does anyone understand this????

Also.... I am pretty sure that FdB told Parish that 6-7 of the first Xl are not up to it. And Parish thought be was gonna get Barcelona football for Burnley wages. A joke really.

The first seven games were definitely thrown away.....mostly against the weaker teams. That was always going to put us on the back foot. We have a stronger squad but this time around we have had a season of major injuries and poor form to major players. When your 27 million striker scores just 2 goals you aren't going to do well. Unfortunately....and untenably....we have been shown to be a team that doesn't win without a fit Zaha. How do you make playing Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd away in the first 7 games, playing mostly weaker teams?
