they need to look at why the police end up shooting everyone, before assuming a racial motive.

It only makes for good media coverage if there is a racial angle.

Last week's shooting in the UK media was "black man shot and killed by police in USA"

If it had been a white man who was shot the story wouldn't have made the UK media at all and the fact that this black man was shot by a black policeman wasn't deemed worthy of being included in the headlines

The common denominator seems to be aggressive policing and poor people. In some ways one cannot always blame the police, as they are confronted with a situation where any routine stop can end in their death: hence their routine use of force. That being said, there seems to be a disproportionate number of cases of non-resistant people being killed. That is what is really damning.

It's a crazily inverted duty of care, when a member of the public is required to stay calm, cool and collected while under a real and intense threat from a stressed out law enforcement officer. Even then, recent events have shown that even calm, quiet compliance might not be enough to save you.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

And that is the problem. The new training methods, I mentioned, are described as much more aggressive in terms of the escalation of violence in defense of any perceived threat to the officer. Indeed, an officer in West Virginia, I think it was, was recently fired for not shooting an armed suspect!

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Which can only provoke social unrest.

Armed black dude, with history of violence shot by black copper after ignoring 7 consecutive demands to drop his gun.

His families version is....

Loving family man, was reading a book when shot by a white officer.

In a world where people are arrested for Tweets, I want to side with BLM, a 'group' who are focusing on something a lot more serious. The problem is that I see the same people complaining about innocuous social media posts and in reality it's not that hard to die at the hands on the police if you're a mentally ill white person for example.

[Link]

Then you'll have a campaign about deaths of non-white mentally ill people in custody and all the focus is lost.

Maybe the answer is looking at our comparative more tame (i.e. unarmed) police force but in any such enquiry it's too easy to attribute behavior of individuals to the attitude of the entire force or even the 'establishment'.

Like Micheal Brown??

He robbed a store then attacked a police officer.

Or his family's version.....

He was a good kid who was stopped for no reason and put his hands up and pleaded "don't shoot" but the nasty copper shot him anyway.

Or the lady who barricaded herself and her son in a room, continually shot at officers and after several hours the officers returned fire.

BLM said.

"Another example of the systematic murder of black people"
"Police couldn't wait to kill her"

Or convicted rapist with a history of violence threatens to kill someone.
Police turn up, during arrest he reaches for a gun, police shoot him.

BLM.
Claim he was targeted and murdered.

BLM are in danger of becoming a parody of themselves.

Saying the massive black on black murder stats "aren't their priority right now"

Lying about shootings

Refusing to enter debate

The chants of "wanting dead cops" at rallies

There is a clip on YouTube of one of the BLM main leaders admitting that the Micheal Brown "hands up don't shoot" was a lie. Forensics prove that he attacked the copper. Eye witnesses (African-American) back up the police version of events. The presenter interviewing him then says if you know it was a lie why did you repeat this lie on Saturday?.... the presenter then plays a clip of him recorded on mobile phone telling a group of protesters that Micheal Brown was murdered and then him starting a chant of "hands up, don't shoot".

The BLM guy ended the interview
