According to Neil Ashton FDB wasn't SP first choice Pellegrino was but Southampton offered him more money apparently

They're not going to play jazz over the PA system before every game, are they? I hate jazz. They've only just brought back The Long Good Friday (albeit a muffled version) and I really don't want to be sitting there, morosely regarding my Inferior Quality Meat Pie whilst they play The Dutch College Swing Band's Greatest Hits.

My dear mother and father had an album of the 'Dutch swing college band'. Continuing on the Netherlands theme they also told me they went to see in concert 'Johnny Lion and the jumping jewels'. I doubt whether he will stay there more than a couple of years. Of course, FdB hasnt even signed yet for Palace, so we will have to see. Assuming he does sign, I think FdB's natural coaching style doesnt seem to be an especially good fit with Palace, so lets see if the club and its players can adapt ro FdB and whether FdB has the flexibilty to adapt to Palace. It could,be a marriage made in heaven, or in hell! What I think the club needs more than anything else is stability and steady development. I think our playing squad is 'nearly there' in terms of being PL-ready. I would really hate it if we were pushed into being a mini-Barcelona which we really are not.
