Anyone who thinks we are gonna survive this season without Benteke is off their rocker. I have never seen a single player win so many headers in one game in my life, If he wasnt on that pitch on Saturday we would have lost and thats a fact.

He was our only outlet at all times and nearly every attack we has started with him winning some sort of flick on.

Im not defending his goals ratio as it is shocking but we are foooked without him this season.

It takes 2 centre halves to amrk him at all times which free's up other players. Teams have to change how they play against us when he is on the pitch.

Maybe, but his presence still worries defenders hence the shirt pull. His presence alone won us that penalty and point. Looks more mobile now than earlier in the season when he look hampered by his knee.

Still our best striker and still needs marking. Our attacking threat would be much reduced without him.

Could well be right, i think he might take the mantle without everything going through wilf and suprise a few people, although obviously not the easiest games coming up, but him and the new guy will know they are the main men . rather than sharing the burden so to speak,

Would be nice if they do make a good pairing, not so sure the knockers would give him credit if he starts knocking the goals in , probably easy tap in, someone set it up, or the goalie was useless, etc, etc, etc

Yes, he's our main striker and ought to guarantee goals. No reason to excuse him anymore, his chances vs Newcastle and still no ball in the net. With our injuries we have to rely on him rest of this season, but Roy H & Steve P. must have seen enough (and the same as us) to let him leave whatever price this summer...
