I cant imagine any PL defence cacking it with the thought of facing benteke. He doesnt seem dangerous or make himself a nightmare to mark.

Having said that we probably wont sell him so I'l be eating my words come april when he decides to put some boots on.

But we need to do something in this department come January. In spite of Benteke's goal scoring history, he won't bail us out this season. 20 games in with 1 - ONE - goal for our main striker!!!!
At the moment would play Sako any given time. Maybe not the same credentials, but at least he makes a nuisance of himself. And have an eye for scoring with his heavy left foot.
Hope Freedman & Co get in one or two strikers with PL experience, not any "promising" Norwegian or smt like that with a few goals scored in Swiss, French or Dutch league (mostly against the lesser sides). Any new player ought to be good enough to walk straight into the team...

We won't sell in January unless it's silly money. We need 2 strikers at the very least as god knows when Wickham will be back. In the summer Benteke should be sold.

Everton are after Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun who is happy to use both feet but is not lightning quick.

What do we reckon? £19mill and a 'yes' to any club prepared to pay it? His value has gone done since this thread was started i reckon and tbh he isn't even worth that now what with his £5.5mill wages on top.

to look on the bright side, We are doing more than ok without Benteke's goals, if he does come back into form, it can only be a bonus.

He turned up and showed effort for around 15 minutes of the 93 today tbf.

Sako however turned up for 30 minutes of the 30 he played.
